Crystal Palace defender Tayo Adaramola has earned his first call-up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad.

The 22-year-old has been included in Heimir Hallgrimsson’s group for a warm-weather training camp in Spain, which will feature a friendly against Grenada at the Enrique Roca Stadium in Murcia on 16 May.

The squad has been selected largely from players currently out of season or not involved in play-off commitments, with a separate group to be named for June fixtures against Qatar and Canada.

Adaramola’s inclusion caps a strong season in the EFL, having spent time on loan at Leyton Orient and later becoming a regular starter at Sheffield Wednesday.

The Anglo-Nigerian signed his first professional contract in 2020 and made his senior debut in 2022.
