Chelsea interested in Crystal Palace's Maxence Lacroix as part of summer overhaul

The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the best defenders outside of the Premier League’s big six since joining from Wolfsburg in 2025.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea have Lacroix as their main target to help bolster their back line this summer.

It’s understood that Alonso’s side have another three or four names on their shortlist, however, including Como’s Jacobo Ramon.

Crystal Palace aren’t looking to sell the France international but do have a historic tendency to buy players and sell them on for a profit.

Any potential move for Lacroix will depend on the South London club being able to bring in an adequate replacement.
