Ex-Liverpool star Jamie Carragher has ripped into Chelsea's owners after yet another loss.

A second-string Nottingham Forest side picked apart Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday afternoon in what was an easy win for the relegation candidates.

Chelsea look like a broken club after their sixth loss in a row, pushing them down to 9th in the table as interim manager Calum McFarlane fails to turn the club around.

This was Chelsea's first Premier League match since Liam Rosenior was sacked and it looks like little has changed for the Blues whose European hopes may be over.

Carragher ripped into the side after the final whistle, suggesting that the club’s struggles come from above.

"It's shocking and it comes from the top," Carragher said. "There's five or six really top players on the pitch today and they've been beaten by Nottingham Forest's B team.

“Less than 12 months ago, they were taking PSG to the cleaners (in the Club World Cup). There's no connection between the players and the staff, the players and the fans. In some ways, it's a good thing because it tells you that football isn't just all about spending money, buying players and this revolving door.

“It's about creating togetherness and there's nothing there. They look like a broken football club right now."

Chelsea stay ninth and 10 points adrift of the Champions League places in what is a dire campaign which may get worse if they do not qualify for any European competition.
