The World Cup 2026 is rapidly drawing closer as teams prepare to jet off to the US, Mexico and Canada this summer, as soon as the season ends.
The likes of Argentina, Spain, France and even England have been tipped as the favourites for the competition which should be filled with drama.
England have lifted the famous trophy once, way back in 1966 before the majority of fans were born.
The Three Lions have been drawn alongside Croatia, Ghana and Panama in Group L in what is their first test before they can even think about going all the way this year.
Capello, who was the first non-Englishman to ever lead the Three Lions when he was appointed back in 2008, has spoken to the BBC about England’s chances.
The 79 year old was honest and admitted that England boss Thomas Tuchel must eliminate fear if the nation are to end their international heartbreak.
“I remember the game against Italy. They are winning after 10-15 minutes, and after they don't play. They play with fear.
“This is the problem for England. They are tired and they fear. The manager, he has to cancel these two things.”
England have gone on to make the semi-finals and quarter-finals in the 2018 and 2022 tournaments respectively but are yet to reach a final since they won the competition in 1966.
The World Cup begins on 11th June, with England's first game against Croatia taking place a week later.
