According to the Daily Mirror, Villa have set their sights one Brentford’s in-form ace Igor Thiago, who has 11 goals in 13 Premier League games.
In stark contrast, current Villa striker Ollie Watkins has had a dismal start to 2025-25, scoring just once in his 18 games across all competitions.
It’s understood that Villa are now preparing for life without Watkins and would be willing to pay £50 million to bring Thiago to the club.
