Aston Villa announce North Stand closed for next season

Villa Park will have its North Stand closed for the entire next season as the club steps up it's stadium redevelopment plans.

Villa intend to expand it's stadium to 50,000 seats.

The North Stand will be increased from 5,000 seats to 12,000 seats with the aim to have the renovation completed for the start of the 2027/28 season.

Villa Park's current capacity is 42,640, though that will drop to 37,000 before the North Stand's re-introduction.
