Arsenal agree deal with sign goalkeeper Illan Meslier after Leeds exit

The 26-year-old majorly fell out of favour at Leeds United following a mistake filled 2024-25, ensuring he didn’t play a single minute last season.

Meslier became a free agent on July 1st having made 215 appearances across seven seasons for the West Yorkshire club.

According to The Athletic, Premier League champions Arsenal have now agreed terms with Meslier following his exit.

It’s understood that the move would allow highly rated young shot stopper Tommy Setford to leave on loan and gain valuable first-team experience.
