Man United have completed the signing of Bryan Mbeumo but are reportedly unhappy with Brentford’s handling of the transfer negotiations.

The 20-time champions finally got their man for a reported fee of £65 million plus £6 million in add-ons, ending one of the summer’s most drawn out transfer sagas.

United faced competition from the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle before Mbeumo put pen to paper on his five-year deal with an option for a further 12 months.

According to The Mirror, Brentford wanted a fee of £70 million plus a future £7 million in add-ons but United were able to negotiate them down.

The report adds that United are understood to be furious with Brentford after they asked Mbeumo to reduce his wage demands in order to increase the fee they would receive.

That didn’t work, however, and the Cameroon international will now earn a reported £200,000 per-week at United.
