Postecoglou was sacked by Spurs at the end of last season, just weeks after leading the club to victory in the Europa League final against Manchester United.
The Athletic's David Ornstein is reporting: "Ange Postecoglou to be confirmed as Nottingham Forest head coach imminently after Nuno Espirito Santo departure.
"60yo Australian will lead #NFFC for Saturday’s trip to Arsenal - joined by a number of staff worked with at Tottenham Hotspur."
Interestingly, Postecoglou's former Australia teammate and good friend Alan Davidson was signed by Brian Clough for Forest in the mid-1980s.
