Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has revealed that so many players leaving the club this summer was tough to take.

This summer Liverpool sold the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Caoimhín Kelleher, Jarell Quansah, Luis Díaz, Darwin Núñez whilst the likes of Harvey Elliott and Vitezslav Jaros left on loan for the campaign.

Arne Slot’s side sit top of the Premier League with four wins from four but it is obvious that they are not performing to the best of their ability as the side try to create chemistry on and off the pitch whilst also competing for the title.

“All the players who left were important,” he told ESPN’s SportCenter. “Lucho, Darwin, they all made a difference for us with goals or their playing, fighting, defending.

“They had good energy, and we miss them. The ones who arrived are stars, they’re doing very well with their contributions, they have a lot of quality.

“It’s clear we want to improve because we need to; we have many competitions to play.”

Nunez found the back of the net for Al-Hilal in his second match for the club last time out against Al-Qadsiah whilst Diaz has scored 4 goals and bagged 2 assists in just 5 appearances for Bayern Munich so far.

Despite their excellent form, Liverpool are missing the likes of Diaz and Nunez as Alisson admits. It is a scary idea for the rest of the league that the only team to win every game so far is not at their best and as chemistry is made, The Reds could become unstoppable.
