AC Milan and Inter Milan are in the process of leaving their storied San Siro stadium for a new home.
Such has been the impact and reviews of the Hill Dickinson stadium in it's first season, that Milan have taken notice and had a study-team spend time on Merseyside to explore the ground.
San Siro, full name Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, has been Milan’s home since their first game on September 19, 1926, with neighbours Internazionale having joined them in 1947.
In November, Milan and Inter bought the stadium from the city council for €197m. They plan to demolish it and build a modern 71,500 capacity stadium designed by Foster + Partners and Manica on the site adjacent to it.
