After leaving Brighton as technical director, Weir has now been named sports director of Strasbourg. BlueCo are owners of Strasbourg and Chelsea.
As such, Weir becomes just the latest player or staff member to leave Brighton for BlueCo.
Facundo Buonaotte, Marc Cucurella, Moises Caicedo, Robert Sanchez and Joao Pedro have all been signed by Chelsea from Brighton, while former Seagulls manager Graham Potter had a spell in charge.
Chelsea's co-sporting directors, Paul Winstanley and Lawrence Stewart, both moved from Brighton to Stamford Bridge. And now Weir has made a similar move, to take charge at Strasbourg.
With the Ligue 1 club, Weir will be working with Chelsea loanees Kendry Paez, Mike Penders and Mamadou Sarr, along with Emanuel Emegha, who has signed with the Blues.
