The now 23-year-old was once touted as Lionel Messi’s heir at Barcelona, but a strong of devasting injuries saw him fall down the pecking order.
Fati has managed to rediscover some form while on loan with Ligue 1 side Monaco, scoring ten goals in his 27 games across all competitions.
According to his father, Bori, the winger is looking to remain at the principality club beyond the current season.
“We’d like Fati to stay at Monaco. He’s happy there,” his father said, via Fabrizio Romano. “He’s still under contract at Barca until June 2028, so we will see.”
It’s understood that Monaco have an €11 million option to buy included in the deal, but are yet to decide whether to activate it or not.
