The 35-year-old joins the Ligue 1 side after two seasons at Nantes, following an extensive spell of more than a decade at Lyon.

He has signed a contract until 2028, with an option for a further year.
During his time at Nantes, Lopes made 51 competitive appearances but was unable to prevent the club’s relegation from France’s top flight.
Despite that setback, he will remain in Ligue 1 as he embarks on a new chapter with Angers. The experienced shot-stopper has earned 14 caps for Portugal and was part of the national squad that won Euro 2016 in France.
Angers will be counting on his experience, and consistency to strengthen their defensive unit and provide stability between the posts as they aim to establish themselves in the division.
