Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy has urged fans to trust the process following their shock 3-1 League Cup final defeat to St Mirren on Sunday (December 14).

Nancy has suffered the worst start of any Celtic manager, losing three times in a week since becoming the club’s permanent Brendan Rodgers replacement.

Celtic’s 3-1 defeat to St Mirren has some fans already questioning whether he was the right man for the job, but Nancy has urged them to “trust” him.

"I tell them that I want to do better for sure. But I am asking them, not to be patient but to trust what I am going to say regarding I can see what we are trying to do," he said after the game.

"My point is, I can see something good but this is not enough. We are not able to be consistent.

"I can understand the fans. It is totally normal. I can ask the fans to believe in me and to trust I can do things, but that is not my job. I have to act instead of talking."
