The Spanish press have given their latest assessment on Marcus Rashford as he slows his form at Barcelona.

The England international had pushed to leave Old Trafford over the summer after being included in United “bomb squad”. Rashford has since thrived at Barcelona, finding his best form under manager Handi Flick.

Rashford, hoping to turn his loan from Manchester United into a permanent deal, scored once more as his side avoided a cup embarrassment on Tuesday evening against third-tier side Guadalajara.

However, the Spanish media were less than impressed as they tore into his lull in form as of late.

Marca wrote that "Rashford's pass to himself is too long, and he shoots it straight out. The Englishman isn't accurate." The Publication also stated that it wasn’t the “Englishman's night”.

AS wrote: "There was curiosity to see if the German would come up with something at half-time. Joan Laporta wasn't entirely convinced either. It was time for Flick.”

Finally, Mundo Deportivo described Rashford as “persistent” And that “he didn't despair even though he missed two very clear chances with the score at 0-0 and ended up sealing the passage to the round of 16 by scoring with quality."

Rashford has seven goals and 11 assists this season, having found the net in all three competitions. He has been a revelation in Spain so far but he will have to improve his recent form if he wants to secure a summer move.
