According to AS, the directors have set his price at no less than €60m.
This would make Gonzalo the second most expensive transfer in the history of Real Madrid's academy, a record held by Álvaro Morata for the €80m paid by Chelsea.
The striker started the season playing a key role in the plans of then-manager Xabi Alonso. However, since Arbeloa's arrival, his prominence has diminished considerably (barely 15 minutes in the last five LaLiga matches ).
In total, he has six goals and two assists in the 34 appearances he has made this season.
