Arbeloa has introduced the midfielder to the first team in recent weeks, having worked closely with Pitarch as Castilla coach.
Ahead of tonight's clash with Getafe, Arbeloa said: "He's a very quick player, and you can see what he can offer in a short time. Very dynamic, with great stamina and mobility.
"His best quality is his personality; he always wants the ball. When he's under pressure, he doesn't feel pressured. I understand that people are surprised by his Champions League debut, but if they are, it's because I have complete confidence in him. I would have put him in the same way in a final.
"The academy players have an easy time understanding what I want from them. He's going to continue to enjoy opportunities; it's a pleasure."
