"I'm very happy. I have a huge joy in my body. I always had the dream of playing for Real Madrid".

Fulfilling a dream: "I am very grateful to the fans. They have shown me a lot of affection since I arrived. When I found out about the transfer, my mind was still set on River and now I'm very happy to be here.

Self-definition as a footballer: "I'm an offensive player, left-footed, almost always on the right. I like to be described by others. What is certain is that I'm going to give my all to help the team.

Call from Xabi Alonso: "He contacted me and that confidence was very important".

13th player to have played for River and Madrid: "My first dream was to play for River and I was able to fulfil it. It is the biggest team in America. I didn't have the privilege of seeing Di Stéfano, but he was very big for football and for Real Madrid. Now it's a privilege to play here.

Messi: "He meant a lot for Barcelona and the Argentinians who saw him play, but Real Madrid is the biggest team in the world. I'm here to make my own way".

Media exposure: "I handle myself calmly and sincerely, as I am in life. I understand the exposure of a football player and Madrid. I come from River, who also have a lot of it".

His greatest memory of Real Madrid: "I saw them win a lot of Champions League titles".

What he says to his childhood self: "I couldn't imagine spending a birthday like this. It's very nice. It's a dream for any footballer. It's something unique.

Have you spoken to any of your team-mates: "I met Jude (Bellingham) in the medical department. He received me very well. I followed him a lot from Argentina.

Days without being able to train: "It gave me a bit of anxiety, but I was able to get to know Madrid".

The number 30: "I asked the president if I could continue to wear it and luckily I was able to continue with it".

There was talk of PSG: "It's true that several teams were interested in me. I respect them all. I was lucky to be able to talk to Luis Enrique. He was very clear with me. I congratulate him on last night's win (in the European Super Cup). I send him my thanks.

Best player in the world: "The best player in the world for me is Messi. I'm Argentinian and I think it's him".

Quitting tennis and opting for football: "I played football since I was 3-4 years old and I started playing tennis when I was older. The decision was not difficult, because when I could go to River I did. My parents supported me in my dream.
