The teenager scored 16 goals and picked up 11 assists in 28 league games and has now been named LALIGA EA SPORTS Player of the Season for 2025/2026 as confirmed by the official website.

He beat out the likes of Pablo Fornals, Nicolas Pepe, Vedat Muriqi and Kylian Mbappe to the award despite the Frenchman bagging 25 goals and claiming the golden boot after he beat Vedat Muriqi by two goals.

Barcelona have been showered with awards over the past few weeks, with manager Hansi Flick picking up the Coach of the Year prize, while goalkeeper Joan Garcia claimed the Save of the Season thanks to his excellent save against Espanyol.

Yamal will now switch his focus to the World Cup which begins in less than a weeks time. Spain face Cape Verde on the 15th June before they have clashes with Uruguay and Saudi Arabia.

As the tournament approaches, Yamal will not turn 19 until the day before the first semi-final on July 14th and yet Spain have built the side around him as he continues to grow as a world-class talent.
