Speaking to El Espanyol, Perez revealed that the club are set to make a major new signing just before Sunday’s decisive vote.
"This Thursday I'll announce my first big signing for next season," Perez said. "Everyone knows my sporting project: having the best players and carrying on winning."
While the incumbent president refused to say just who it might be, it’s widely expected to be Ibrahima Konate, who just left Liverpool as a free agent.
