Kane, 32, has become arguably the best striker in the world at Bayern, scoring 64 goals in 56 games across all competitions last season.
The England captain’s current deal in Germany is set to expire in the summer of 2027, but Bayern are hoping to tie him down for longer.
It’s understood that the length of the contract has been a sticking point for the two parties, with an agreement far from being settled.
According to Sport, Barcelona are hoping to take advantage of the uncertainty and have made an approach for Kane.
Bayern have no intention of letting Kane go, however, and Barcelona’s approach has been met with a ‘cold’ response.
Hansi Flick’s side are expected to sign a new striker this summer, with Julian Alvarez their top target, although that move also seems to have hit a road block.
