Birmingham City are set to host European giants Barcelona this summer as they head to St George’s Park, the English Football Association’s national football centre which is home to the England national team.

The facilities are widely regarded as one of the finest football facilities in Europe and Barcelona have used them before during preseason in the summers of 2014 and 2016.

Reports claim that the Spanish giants are expected to play several friendlies in England, including a clash against Birmingham City at St Andrews which will surely sell out as fans from the UK flood to see Barcelona live.

Various reports in Spain also claim Barcelona will play a closed-door match against either Watford or Stoke City during their preseason tour.

Flick’s side are also expected to play two additional friendlies, one in the Kenyan capital Nairobi and another in Morocco, after departing England as per the BBC.

Barca's squad in England may be limited due to the World Cup and many top players taking a rest once the tournament ends, especially if they progress far into it this summer.
