Ahead of their clash with Real Oviedo, Fermin said: "I didn't even think about it.
"I never intended to leave and I think the club didn't want to sell me. But yes, I received offers to leave this summer."
On handling the good press coming his way, Fermin says he is aware of keeping himself grounded.
He added, "If you are a footballer, you have to know that these things happen. You have to work on it and be prepared. One day they tell you that you are the best and the other, the worst. We must be mature and intelligent."
