Atletico and Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw in the first-leg of their Champions League semifinal, with both teams converting penalties. However, Arsenal also saw a late penalty call reversed after VAR's intervention.
"The one they reviewed was crystal clear. One for each team, ours much clearer than theirs. There's contact, it's a penalty that they never usually call in Europe.
"A collision, a bit of a charge... It seems like a penalty that they don't usually call in Europe. Overall, between one thing and another, we lacked a bit of luck today," said Alemany, referring to David Hancko's penalty on Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres.
Alemany also said: "We have six days to prepare for a final in capital letters.
"A top-level match against one of the best teams in the world. Overall, the game was very even, but if we look at the scoring opportunities, we deserved to go into the second leg with an advantage. We had chances. We just lacked a bit of luck and accuracy."
