After a second-leg defeat at Tottenham last night, Atletico reached the Champions League quarterfinals for the eighth time in 13 seasons under Simeone.
Alemany said: "Cholo is an impressive coach, what he does is unique in world football, and even more so when you see him working day in and day out, his leadership and ability, his work ethic, nothing is by chance."
Alemany also reaffirmed their commitment to keeping hold of Julian Alvarez next season.
He also said, "Julián is crucial for us, his numbers speak for themselves, they're irrefutable.
"The fact that three Spanish teams have made it through is a fantastic demonstration of our level, and if we can help someone else secure that fifth place, even better."
