Madrid were beaten 2-1 by Bayern in their Quarter Final first leg at the Bernabéu in what was subpar performance from the Spanish giants.
Bayern won at the Bernabeu for the first time since 2001 as they made history against Madrid who must now travel to Germany for the second leg and stage a comeback.
During the game, reports claimed that Vini Jr, who failed to impress on the night, was booed by fans who were asking for more from the Brazilian.
Speaking after the clash, Arbeloa revealed that boos at Madrid are normal as fans expect the best from such a huge club with so many world class players.
“You know what I think of Vinicius, and what he means to me as a coach and as a Real Madrid fan, as well as the performances he delivers.
“For me, it would be a privilege to play every match at the Bernabeu. Booing is part of what this crowd demands. I see it as something normal and understandable. Some may feel a negative atmosphere, but what we notice is the support of our fans. We can’t ask for more than that.”
“If the team puts in a good performance and creates chances, that’s thanks to the pressure the Bernabeu applies. I wish I had the fortune of playing in this stadium. All players feel the same.”
If Madrid were to progress against Bayern, they are likely to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Semi Final after they beat Liverpool 2-0 in the first leg in what is a game fit for the final of the competition.
