The Brazil attacker proved the matchwinner in Sunday's victory at Atletico Madrid.
The former Manchester United winger, who recently celebrated his first anniversary with the club, gave an interview to Canal Sur on Wednesday and reaffirmed that signing for Betis "was the best decision of my life".
"I've had an incredible year , not just me, my whole family is very happy here. I'm very proud to wear the Betis shirt, to be here with the team, with the people, in a club and a city that I love so much," the Betis player added.
The winger emphasized "the day-to-day interaction with the people ; the team is like a family, and that makes a huge difference. The key is the people, how they welcomed me, the affection... the days are fun."
Negotiations with Manchester United dragged on throughout the summer after he spent a few months on loan at Betis.
"I went through a bit of a tough time without preseason training, but I'm a player who takes great care of myself. I arrived very well prepared, even though I didn't have preseason, and being here is a dream," he insisted.
On his pubic strain, Antony also said. "Since the Getafe match, I've been playing with a lot of discomfort. It's not easy; it's a pain that bothers me a lot. I try to do my best, but it's difficult. I'm undergoing treatment; I don't like being out of matches, no matter how much discomfort I have.
"I know the pain I feel after each game. I don't use that as an excuse; I always try to give my best and I take good care of myself so I'm always available for Betis."
