Real Madrid handed €500K fines to both Valverde and Tchouameni following their training ground dispute which made headlines this week.

Valverde ended up in hospital and later being diagnosed with cranioencephalic trauma following their altercation that Arbeloa was asked to address ahead of the El Clasico this weekend.

The Real Madrid boss says he wants to put the incident behind him as both players have apologized for their actions ahead of the clash.

“I'll say it again, because maybe I wasn't very clear: leaking things that happened in the locker room seems like a BETRAYAL of Real Madrid. Of this badge.

“Of course it's a healthy dressing room. It's not easy to accept two seasons without a trophy, and as I always say, to be a Real Madrid player you have to be very ambitious.

“For me, the most serious issue is that what happens in the locker room should stay in the locker room. The incident was just bad luck. And it needs to be put to rest.

“What I'm not going to do is publicly crucify the players, because they don't deserve it.

“The players have acknowledged their mistake,, and apologized. That's enough for me.”

Both Valverde and Tchouameni have been linked with a move away this summer following the incident as the pair consider their futures heading into the final few games of the campaign and of course the summer transfer window.
