Tottenham have agreed a deal with Manchester City for unwanted winger Savinho.

The 27-year-old joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 in a deal worth close to £60M but he has now been deemed surplus to requirements by new manager Enzo Maresca.

Tottenham have been interested in Savinho since last summer but City refused to sell the Brazilian for around £43.3M as they tied him down to fresh terms until 2031.

Now, David Ornstein reports that a deal has finally been struck as the North London side land their target just days before their opening Premier League clash against Brentford this weekend.

“Tottenham Hotspur reach agreement in principle with Manchester City to sign Savinho. Deal for 22yo Brazil winger £75m + £10m add-ons (£5m of bonuses highly achievable). #THFC to land main target & #MCFC make record sale.”

Having spent a combined £185m on midfielders Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle whilst also splashing out on the likes of Jan Paul van Hecke, Spurs have opened their wallet once more for Savinho in what is looking like a formidable side.

If Spurs want Savinho in the squad to face Brentford on Saturday evening, the Brazilian must be registered by 12pm on Friday.

This looks very unlikely to happen and the winger is more likely to make his debut either against Charlton in the EFL Cup or against Newcastle United next weekend.

Tottenham are also said to be interested in City’s Omar Marmoush and Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo in what is a haul that could cost well over £400M.
