Madrid are currently second in the La Liga table, four points behind the leaders Barcelona and will hope to pick up 3 points to close that gap which has widened in recent weeks.
Madrid will enter Monday's match off the back of a 2-1 win over Benfica in the second leg of their Champions League knockout round playoff despite missing many key players under manager Alvaro Arbeloa.
In defence, Madrid will be without Éder Militão (muscle), Dean Huijsen (muscle) and Raúl Asencio (head) as Arbeloa looks towards Trent Alexander-Arnold, Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba to plug the gaps.
In midfield, Jude Bellingham (hamstring), Dani Ceballos (calf) and Rodrygo (Tendonitis) as Federico Valverde, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga all step in for what is a Madrid midfield poked full of holes.
Finally, Kylian Mbappé (knee) is still suffering after a heavy collision with teammate Eduardo Camavinga during the Benfica clash.
As per a statement across Real Madrid’s official website and social media platforms:
“After the tests carried out on our player Raúl Asencio by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a cervical strain. Awaiting evolution.”
Arbeloa has now confirmed that the Frenchman won’t play until he is fully fit, as per Diario AS as the club make sure he doesn’t worsen the injury.
Getafe have lost each of their last eight matches against Real Madrid and have a record of eight wins, five draws and 12 defeats from their 25 league games this season.
