Liverpool host to Galatasaray at Anfield in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday night following a 1-0 defeat in the first leg.
The Reds enter the clash on the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday which has led to pressure growing on Slot whose job is under serious scrutiny.
Slot knows fans are frustrated
First asked on fans being restless and boos from the crowd following the Spurs clash, Slot says he understands frustration around his side as he tries to bounce back against the Turkish giants.
"It's never nice they are frustrated as fans aren't frustrated after you win. You are frustrated and disappointed when you don't win.
"When I came here I was told this club was different and the fans will support the manager for a long time. If it's true (the fans are restless), I don't feel it at all. I must have done a lot of things wrong then that's never a nice feeling to have.
"I did something wrong with the team when we won the league and some things which I did wrong in hindsight. All the decisions I've made are to help the team win."
Is the pressure getting to Slot?
There is a huge amount of pressure growing on Slot who, if knocked out the Champions League, only has the FA Cup to fight for in terms of silverware. If Champions League football is not secured then he is likely to be sacked, and he admits that he feels the pressure at the moment.
"Of course I feel pressure, we all feel pressure. In this industry every single day there's pressure. We are working at a beautiful club with great history and we can achieve quarter-finals of CL.
"But it's also nice to have this pressure as it would otherwise mean we are out or at a lower level. We embrace this pressure."
Lastly, as Slot prepares for what is one of the biggest clashes of the season, he commented on the importance of the game as they seek to secure a spit in the Quarter Final.
"We thought we had a goal and a penalty and VAR ruled it out. We had our chances and we didn't take them. That is also down to Galatasaray, there is a great energy in their team, and they throw everything in front of the ball. They have a good mentality and defenders.
"We need to score a goal. We know that's not easy after facing them twice. But we will fight for it and go for it."
