Chelsea will be without several players for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium including the likes of Reece James and Trevor Chalobah.
The Blues will be seeking to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat in all competitions under Rosenior as they head into the game on the back of a crushing loss to Paris Saint-Germain that saw them thrown out the Champions League.
It's been rough for Rosenior
Speaking first on what has been a difficult time for the Englishman who reports suggest is close to being let go by a ruthless Chelsea board.
"Every manager goes through difficult weeks. I've had challenging periods before. I've lost games in many jobs, like all managers have done. We need to find a way to fight at Everton and come through a difficult period."
"You want to be in the Champions League. It makes everything clearer, not just from a financial point of view. This club deserves to be in the Champions League. That's the target."
James won't return for weeks
Rosenior next offered up some team news as his side deal with an array of injuries as they try to rotate following the PSG defeat which leaves the club with just the FA Cup to fight for.
On Chalobah: "Wasn’t until after the game I saw the image. Then you’re really worried for the next day.
"Never good Trev is out for but nowhere near as serious as we first thought. Still serious but looking at a period of around six weeks."
On goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen: "Filip had a scan and needing minor operation. Not too serious, a matter of weeks."
On Reece James: "Reece we will look more after the international break. Not serious but something in his hamstring we will monitor after the international break."
Lastly, speaking on team news, Chelsea have had a number of leaks in recent weeks that Rosenior says have now been halted. Whether that is true will be seen before the Everton clash after team news was released early and without consent over the past month.
"We know. It's not come from any place of malicious intent, to me or the team.
"We have dealt with the situation."
