Since signing from Hull City for just £8M in July 2017, Robertson has made 354 appearances for the club, winning countless trophies, including two Premier League titles and the Champions League.
The Scotland captain is in the last year of his current deal with Liverpool and as age catches up to the 31-year-old, questions have been raised surrounding his future.
Last summer, Atletico Madrid were reportedly interested in him but failed to agree a deal, which has meant the Scotsman stayed to fight for a spot in the side against summer arrival Milos Kerkez.
Now, he has spoken on his future and admits he is very relaxed about whether he stays or goes which will worry supporters who will be hurt to see him go once the season is over.
"I think last season everyone was bored of talking about the three lads (Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold), but for me the relationship between me and the club has been a wonderful one," Robertson said.
“Liverpool have done everything for me. Whatever happens will happen behind closed doors and I'm relaxed about the whole situation. If it is my last year, then it's my last year. If it's not, then so be it”.
The left back, who was appointed vice-captain after Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure to Real Madrid, did not start any of Liverpool’s first nine league games this season but has slowly worked his way back into the side due to Kerkez’s poor form
He spoke more on his future, which looks ever more likely to be elsewhere as The Reds struggle to build any momentum in their crumbling title race.
"That's what happens when you go into your last six months. I'm just trying to focus on football now. I am delighted to be back on the pitch, delighted to be back playing the last few games.
"That's important and let's see what happens. But I'm relaxed about the whole thing and the club has been amazing for me."
