Manchester United legend Gary Neville has torn apart Arsenal's chances of winning the Champions League.

Atletico Madrid play host to Arsenal in a semi-final first-leg showdown where both sides are still looking for their first UCL title.

After being knocked out the FA Cup and EFL Cup, Arsenal have just the Premier League and UCL remaining in their hunt for silverware.

The winners of this tie will go head-to-head either Bayern Munich or holders Paris Saint-Germain in the final where they can make history or fail once more.

Atletico suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat at the Emirates during the League Phase earlier this season and must show a better performance this time around if they are to progress.

Now, speaking on his podcast, Neville has revealed that he does not fancy Arsenal’s chances as he predicts they won’t reach the final at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on May 30th.

"A lot of these players don't know how to win a Champions League, but they've been so close in the title race and they'll be so desperate not to fall short in that. I do think that Mikel Arteta has to go for every single game and not prioritise any over the other, but he knows that the Premier League is the one that's easier to win than the Champions League right now."

"I think there are better teams in there than them in the Champions League and it's a cup competition. They've got three games left and they've only got four left in the league, so you could argue that it's easy to win both, but I don't see them getting past Atlético Madrid and the other teams in the semifinal, but I do see them having a chance with the league."

If Arsenal are knocked out, manager Mikel Arteta will have just the Premier League to challenge for, a competition his side have been struggling with as Manchester City make their life extremely difficult.
