The England international made his Champions League debut for the La Liga giants against Marseille at the Bernabeu, but he went down injured after just three minutes in a devastating blow.
Sidelined for a month so far, many had doubted whether he would return to face his old side where he left on bad terms after running down his contract last season.
Now, he has posted a picture of him in training with the caption “Back soon” suggesting that he will be back within the next few weeks. This is just in time for the trip to Anfield on November 4th.
If he is fit enough to start, it will not be a warm welcome from the home supporters who believe that the 27 year old betrayed the club by running down his deal after climbing the ranks in the academy.
Liverpool have lost their last three games in all competitions and will hope to bounce back against rivals Manchester United this Sunday as they try to build form, ready for the Real Madrid clash which is sure to be a classic with or without Alexander-Arnold.
