Klopp walked away from Merseyside in the summer of 2024 as he waved an emotional farewell to the side after several years in charge.
The German boss managed 491 games as Liverpool manager between October 2015 and May 2024, winning 299 of those fixtures.
He won several trophies including the Premier League and Champions League title during his tenure and many fans were desperate for him to return after a lull in form under Arne Slot.
John Aldridge was speaking to BOYLE Sports, who offer the latest football odds about how a swift return from Klopp would be welcomed by many despite him being Red Bull's global head of football.
“We've got a massive charity game at Anfield in a week and a half's time, and I'm on the staff with Klopp, so I’m going to ask him!
“I think we've moved on from Jurgen, but we'd love him back if Arne Slot were to go, obviously you would, because what he did for us, the passion he brought to the team, the club, and the fans was Bill Shankly-esque.
“If Slot were to go, we’d love him to come back. But it doesn't work like that, does it? If he wanted to go to Real Madrid, then good luck to him.
“Good luck to him, as long as when he plays against Liverpool in the Champions League in years to come, I’d want him to play his reserves!”
Slot, who has already delivered the Premier League title, is working on a contract until 2027 but as form slips and The Reds remain outside of the title race then there is always a chance that he could be let go which opens a door for Klopp.
