Union Berlin manager Steffen Baumgart faces an anxious wait after being caught making a middle finger gesture during a dramatic 4-3 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Already sent off earlier for kicking a paper ball onto the pitch, Baumgart could now face a longer suspension from the DFB Sports Court for this separate, initially unnoticed incident.

According to Sport1, the DFB Sports Court could still take action, even though the coach had already been sent off for a separate incident.

The controversy, however, did little to overshadow Union’s dramatic win, highlighted by a hat-trick from forward Oliver Burke.

In a fiery finale to the seven-goal thriller, Baumgart received a straight red card in the 90th minute from referee Sven Jablonski for kicking a paper ball onto the pitch while protesting a decision. The hard-fought victory lifts Union to 10th place in the Bundesliga table.

Baumgart is now certain to serve a minimum one-match touchline ban following his dismissal.
