Christian Eriksen rejected an offer from Wrexham to sign with VfL Wolfsburg on Wednesday.

Released by Manchester United, the veteran Denmark midfielder had an offer tabled by Wrexham's Hollywood owners in July.

However, Eriksen rejected the proposal as he wanted to continue his career in Europe's top-flight.

As a free agent, Eriksen signed with Wolfsburg on Wednesday, having flown in from Odense to take his medical and to ink forms.

Eriksen, 33, is united with compatriot Peter Christiansen, who was appointed Wolfsburg's managing director for sport back in 2024.

Since Christiansen's arrival, the German club have signed several Danish players including the likes of Andreas Skov Olsen, Jesper Lindstrom, Joakim Mahle and Jonas Wind.
