The 33-year-old left Man United after three years at with the club this summer following the decision not to renew his contract.
Eriksen has now signed for Bundesliga side Wolfsburg as a free agent, joining Denmark teammates Andreas Skov Olsen, Jonas Wind, Adam Daghim, Jesper Lindstrom, and Joachim Maehle.
Speaking to the club’s in-house media team, he said: "I'm really looking forward to this new adventure. I am convinced that we can make a difference together in Wolfsburg.
“The discussions with those responsible were very good. I immediately sensed that coach Paul Simonis had a clear idea for the team and also for me.
“The fact that there are many faces I know from the Danish national team in the squad makes VfL particularly attractive to me."
