Reports in recent months have revealed that the exit clauses in his contract at Bayern can be triggered in various transfer windows, surging interest from top clubs such as Barcelona who are keen on luring him away.
The England captain has bagged 34 goals in 30 appearances for Bayern this season, taking him to 119 efforts in total for the German giants from a mere 126 games.
Now, journalist Florian Plettenburg has reported that the Bundesliga side are keen on tying him down to a new deal before he is tempted to leave.
“BREAKING | FC Bayern have officially opened talks with Harry #Kane over a new contract until 2028 or 2029.
“Max Eberl confirms: “We are in talks with Harry.”
“Kane is more than willing to extend as revealed. No thoughts of a move. He loves the club, the fans and the city.”
Kane has scored roughly a third of Bayern’s goals so far this season, and losing him would almost destory their chances of success next season.
No other striker in Europe other than Manchester City’s Erling Haaland compares to him, and Bayern have little chance of snagging the Norwegian anytime soon.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank opened the door for Kane to make a return earlier this season, whilst Barcelona will also be keeping a keen eye on Kane as he makes a huge decision on his future.
