The Cadena SER radio program 'El Larguero' reported that Real Madrid has been considering adding a sporting director to its football structure and that an external agency was already studying several candidates to fill this position at the club.
However in response, Real Madrid released a formal statement to deny the news:
"Real Madrid CF announces that the information broadcast by the Cadena Ser program El Larguero last night, which states that our club is considering adding a sporting director to its structure, is completely false."
The official statement highlights that "Real Madrid greatly values the work carried out by the club's sporting management, which has allowed us to experience one of the most successful periods in our history with the achievement of numerous titles, including 6 European Cups in 10 years."
