Mourinho delivers response to Benfica exit rumours

The Portuguese great has a deal with Benfica to the end of the 2026/27 season.

There has been claims that Benfica are eyeing former Sporting CP and Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim as a replacement for Mourinho this summer.

However, the Special One's preference is to stay with Benfica next term, stating:  "Jorge Mendes is my agent, but I am responsible for my own decision. My decision is that I would like to continue at Benfica."

Mourinho's deal with Benfica includes an option to terminate the agreement, valid for both parties.
