Lyon have entered the race to sign Belgian striker Lois Openda, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.

Openda’s loan move from RB Leipzig to Juventus is set to become permanent for a fee exceeding €40 million, but the 26-year-old could still leave Turin after a disappointing campaign in which he scored just twice in 37 appearances.

Since joining Leipzig from RC Lens in 2023, Openda has registered 41 goals in 93 matches, having previously netted 21 times during Lens’ memorable 2022-23 campaign.

AS Monaco, Nottingham Forest and Eintracht Frankfurt are also reportedly interested in securing the Belgium international’s signature.
