Liverpool are entering arguably their most important summer transfer window in recent history.

The Reds are about to wave goodbye to legendary players Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson, while Curtis Jones, Alisson Becker and Joe Gomez could all exit Anfield.

A replacement for Salah is undoubtedly their biggest priority, and Arne Slot will sign at least one winger with the ability to score goals.

But the Daily Mail have revealed that Liverpool "do not intend to spend as heavily" in this transfer window after shelling out over £400 million on new players last summer.

That news will come as a source of frustration for the supporters, who believe the squad needs an overhaul to compete for the Premier League title in 2026/27, or even the Champions League.

Slot has been involved in plans to recruit players after it was confirmed he would be staying at Anfield beyond this season, despite arguably underachieving with the money spent.

Liverpool have been linked with RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande as a possible replacement for Salah, while Benfica centre-back Antonio Silva could be Virgil van Dijk's successor, according to 90min.
