Regis Le Bris reflected on Sunderland’s 1–1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Nordi Mukiele gave the visitors a first-half lead, but the match shifted when Dan Ballard was sent off for pulling the hair of Tolu Arokodare.

Santiago Bueno then equalised after the break to ensure the points were shared.

“The standards were back. We dominated the opening stages and deservedly took the lead,” Le Bris said.

“The red card changed the flow of the game and allowed them to build momentum with the extra man.

“We adjusted our structure in the second half and still managed to create chances.

“I was pleased with the way we played together. After conceding nine goals in the previous two games, it wasn’t easy to predict how we would respond today.”
