Harry Kane described Saturday’s clash as a tough encounter after Bayern Munich were held to a 2-2 draw by Union Berlin.

The Bavarians had been expected to secure a 10th consecutive win in the capital, but the hosts forced them to share the spoils at the Stadion An der Alten Forsterei.

Kane scored a late equaliser for Bayern and appeared to take aim at the hosts’ style of play, criticising their use of long balls at full time.

"It was a tough game. We expected a battle and a lot of long balls. Many decisions and small fouls went against us today,” Kane told the media after the game.

"It wasn't our best game, but we stayed focused and managed to equalise. That's football, there are games like today where things go against you. We'll take the point."

Bayern Munich will have hoped to head into the international break on a high, ahead of their return to league action in two weeks against Freiburg.
