The rumours were sparked after presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme claimed he planned to make contact next week with club legend Raul Gonzalez, intending to convince the German to become Real Madrid’s new head coach should he win the upcoming elections.
However, Klopp’s agent Marc Kosicke has firmly ruled out any such scenario. Speaking to Sky Sport Germany, he said: “It’s annoying. He’s not planning to return to coaching a club and is happy at Red Bull.”
The statement effectively shuts down speculation over a potential return to elite club management for Klopp, who has been enjoying life away from the dugout since leaving Liverpool.
