Watford manager Ed Still admitted his team fell short at both ends after a 4-0 defeat to Coventry City on Saturday.

Ellis Simms scored a hat-trick for Frank Lampard’s men as the Hornets squandered opportunities which proved costly.

“It was the same feeling as half-time last week, how are we not level or a goal up?” Still said.

“In the first half we have defended the cross for the first goal so poorly.

“We have watched it (similar crosses) countless times this week and trained on it, but we’ve given them a goal that they have scored probably seven or eight times this season.

“Then you just need to equalise. We’ve had more than enough chances there to at least get level, if not go ahead.”
