Despite Marseille’s injury problems, the Arsenal loanee was left on the bench against OGC Nice as Beye preferred players showing more intensity in training.

The Marseille boss said the 19-year-old’s absence from the starting XI was directly linked to his performances during the week.
"He’s a quality player, but he has to give us way more in his day-to-day commitment. Other players gave way more," said Beye.
With the season entering a crucial stage, Beye insists only players showing the right desire and consistency will earn regular opportunities in his side.
